The Black Angel Foundation, has offered yearly music scholarships to deserving full-time students studying at the Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing Arts and the Alpha School of Music as well as youth scholarships offered for corporate area children interested in music for the past 6 years.
Funds raised enable the foundation’s continued ability to assist Jamaican students in need who have a passion for music.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
Applicant must:
- Be an enrolled Full-Time Student
- Be showing high scholastic achievement with a minimum average grade of ‘B’
- Be in need of financial assistance
- Have demonstrated commitment to contribute to the development of music in Jamaica
- Demonstrate outstanding social and moral character
The Black Angel Foundation music scholarship will be advertised between the months of May and June. Applicants are shortlisted by the Foundation and applications reviewed by the Foundation’s Board of Advisors.
The scholarships is a non-renewable gift, and the recipient is not required to repay the amount of the award, except in the case of poor academic performance, during the year the award was made.
Applicants must provide:
- Completed Application Form
- Photograph
- Music Sample (max 10 minutes)
- Written Recommendation
- Proof of Financial Need
